Photography was a turning point in history because it changed the way people conveyed information. For example the Civil War, people never knew how dangerous the wars were until Alexander Wolcott invented the first camera. They thought the war was bad but not as bad as when they saw photos of it. Another example is how artist looked at things. With out the camera the paintings that the artist did were not accurate. With the camera invented the artist would have a more realistic view and they could work on it as long as they wanted with out losing the image in their head. Now with the camera the paintings are more accurate. With the first camera invented it had a big impact on history and the future. The camera is used everyday, with out the camera we wouldn't be able to capture the most important events that we see today.
