Alexander Wolcott
Alexander Wolcott was a dentist and an inventor. He was born in 1804 and died in 1844. He claims to be the inventor of the first camera but he wasn't. Alexander Wolcott was the first person in the world at the time to get a patent for the first camera in 1839. The camera was called the Daguerreotype mirror camera. The camera did not have a lens in it. Before he died he oped up the first portriat studio ever it was called the Daguerran Parlor. The parlor was located in New York. His invention changed american history and the furture.
